How do I restore my Premium or Lifetime Unlock?
Open Folio, go to Settings, then use Restore Purchases. Folio asks Apple StoreKit to refresh the subscription or Lifetime Unlock tied to your Apple ID. It travels with you across signed-in iPhone and iPad.
What does Premium cost?
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription at $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year, and there is a one-time Lifetime Unlock at $29.99. Manage or cancel a subscription any time in iOS Settings under your Apple ID. The Lifetime Unlock does not renew.
What is free versus Premium?
The free tier includes unlimited document scanning, JPEG export, and a limited number of OCR text extractions per day. Premium and Lifetime add book scanning with curve flattening, unlimited OCR, searchable PDF and plain-text export, advanced filters, page adjustments, and the Face ID vault.
How does book scanning work?
Book mode flattens page curve, splits a two-page spread into separate pages, and cleans up finger edges. It is tuned for normal household lighting, so you do not need a copy stand or a dark room.
Is my data private?
Yes. Every scan, OCR pass, and filter runs on your device. Folio requires no account, uses no third-party analytics, and never uploads your documents to an Atlas Peak Media server.
How does the Face ID vault work?
The vault holds scans you mark as sensitive and unlocks them with Face ID or Touch ID through Apple LocalAuthentication. Folio never receives or stores your biometric data; Apple handles the unlock locally.
Does OCR work offline?
Yes. OCR uses Apple's on-device Vision framework with automatic language detection across 40+ languages. It works without a network connection, and the recognized text never leaves your device.
How do I export a scan?
Use the share action to export a searchable PDF, a JPEG, or plain text (Premium). The exported file goes through the iOS share sheet to wherever you choose; Folio does not transmit it to Atlas Peak Media.
Does Folio require an account?
No. Folio does not require an Atlas Peak Media account. Your unlock is tied to your Apple ID through StoreKit and travels with you across signed-in devices.
How do I sync across devices?
iCloud sync is optional. When you enable it, Folio uses your own private iCloud through Apple CloudKit so scans appear on your other signed-in devices. Atlas Peak Media has no access to your iCloud data.
How do I delete data?
Delete individual scans, folders, or vault items in the app, or delete the app to remove all local Folio data. If iCloud sync is on, manage that copy in iOS Settings under your Apple ID.
How do I report a bug?
Email folio@atlaspeakmedia.com with your device model, iOS version, Folio version, what you expected, what happened, and any screenshots that help explain the issue.
