How do I restore my Full Unlock?

Open Repeater, go to Settings, then use Restore Purchases. Repeater asks Apple StoreKit to refresh the Full Unlock tied to your Apple ID. The unlock travels with you across signed-in iPhone and iPad.

Are there subscriptions?

No. Repeater uses a single one-time purchase: $9.99 Full Unlock. There is no auto-renewal, no recurring billing, and no trial period.

What does the free teaser include?

The free tier includes Technician fundamentals, a sample of flashcards, and one full-length practice exam. The teaser is enough to evaluate the study experience before unlocking the full content.

How do I switch between Technician, General, and Extra pools?

Open Settings, choose Exam Level, and select Technician, General, or Extra. Repeater rotates the active question pool, fundamentals filter, and practice exam generator to match. Your FSRS review schedule is tracked per pool, so switching does not erase progress.

Why do some questions show different effective dates?

NCVEC publishes new question pools on staggered cycles (Technician 2022-2026 then 2026-2030, General 2023-2027, Extra 2024-2028). Repeater bundles the active pool effective on or before your exam date and rotates pools at the published transition. Active pool descriptors are visible in Settings.

Where do the explanations come from?

NCVEC publishes the question pools as raw question + answer keys without explanations. Atlas Peak Media writes the explanations as sidecar files merged at app launch. If you spot an explanation that contradicts FCC Part 97 or current accepted operating practice, email us.

What is FSRS?

FSRS (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler) is a flashcard scheduling algorithm that adapts review intervals based on how difficult each card is for you specifically. Repeater uses FSRS v4 to schedule reviews so cards you struggle with come back sooner and cards you have mastered space out longer.

Does Repeater require an account?

No. Repeater does not require an Atlas Peak Media account. The Full Unlock is tied to your Apple ID through StoreKit and travels with you across signed-in devices.

How does the Station Log work?

The Station Log is a local logbook for tracking on-air contacts after you pass your exam. Add contacts manually with date, frequency, mode, and notes. Export the log as CSV through the share sheet. Station Log data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to Atlas Peak Media or any third party.

Does Repeater store my Face ID or Touch ID?

No. Biometric app lock is handled locally by Apple LocalAuthentication. Repeater does not receive or store biometric templates.

How do I reset progress for an exam pool?

Open Settings, choose the exam level, and use Reset Progress. This clears flashcard review schedules, practice exam scores, and fundamentals reading position for that pool. Other exam levels are not affected.

How do I delete data?

Reset progress per exam level in Settings, or delete the app to remove local Repeater data including the Station Log.

Where can I find the official NCVEC question pools?

NCVEC publishes the active question pools at ncvec.org. Repeater bundles the same public-domain pools and tracks effective dates so the in-app questions match what your Volunteer Examiner team will use.

Does Repeater issue an FCC license?

No. Only the FCC issues Amateur Radio licenses, and only after you pass the live exam administered by an accredited Volunteer Examiner Coordinator team. Repeater is study material to help you prepare.

How do I report a bug?

Email repeater@atlaspeakmedia.com with your device model, iOS version, Repeater version, the exam level you were studying, what you expected, what happened, and any screenshots that help explain the issue.
