Talos
Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 3, 2026
This Talos-specific policy supplements the Atlas Peak Media privacy policy and describes the data behavior of the Talos iOS app.
Overview
Talos is a commercial real estate analysis app for iPhone and iPad. It is designed to be local-first: your deal files, assumptions, notes, and analysis outputs are created by you and stored on your device unless iCloud sync is available and enabled through Apple services.
Talos does not require an Atlas Peak Media account for v1 launch.
Data Talos Handles
Deal data: property names, addresses, property types, rent roll inputs, operating expenses, purchase price, financing assumptions, valuation outputs, DCF scenarios, tax assumptions, portfolio views, and notes you enter.
Subscription status: Apple StoreKit tells the app whether your Apple ID has an active Talos subscription. Atlas Peak Media does not receive your payment card information.
Location and map data: if you grant location permission, Talos may use your location for map context and nearby real estate workflows. Saved-deal pins can also use addresses or coordinates you enter.
Market and listing data: Talos may request public FRED market data and, when configured for Pro+ live discovery, listing data through the Talos backend proxy.
Storage and Sync
Talos stores user-authored deal data locally on your device. When iCloud and the signed app configuration are available, Talos uses Apple CloudKit private database sync for user-authored deal data.
Private iCloud data is managed by Apple under your Apple ID. Atlas Peak Media does not browse your private iCloud database.
Transient discovery caches, map tile caches, and backend availability states are treated as local app data and are not used for advertising.
Third-Party Services
Apple services: App Store, StoreKit, CloudKit, MapKit, and LocalAuthentication support subscriptions, sync, maps, and optional biometric app lock.
FRED: Federal Reserve Economic Data provides public market and rate context. Talos requests public series data and labels freshness or unavailable states in the app.
Talos backend proxy: Pro+ live listing discovery uses a backend proxy when configured so provider keys are not stored in the iOS app bundle. Listing search requests may include geographic search parameters and filters needed to return matching listings.
Sentry diagnostics: if optional diagnostics are enabled and configured, Sentry may process crash and app diagnostic metadata so Atlas Peak Media can identify broken workflows. Talos diagnostic events are designed not to include deal names, addresses, rent rolls, purchase prices, notes, or user-authored underwriting text.
What Talos Does Not Do
Talos does not sell your deal data.
Talos does not use your deal data for advertising.
Talos does not send deal names, addresses, rent rolls, purchase prices, notes, or user-authored underwriting text as analytics events.
Talos does not receive or store Face ID, Touch ID, or biometric templates. Biometric unlock is handled locally by Apple.
Talos does not execute real estate transactions, lending decisions, brokerage activity, appraisals, or investment recommendations.
Deleting Data
You can delete individual deals inside the app. You can also delete all Talos data by deleting the app from your device. If iCloud sync is active, manage iCloud app data through Apple ID and iCloud settings.
