Rigor
Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 30, 2026
This Rigor-specific policy supplements the Atlas Peak Media privacy policy and describes the data behavior of the Rigor iOS app.
Overview
Rigor is a five-pillar health app for iPhone covering fasting, training, nutrition, sleep, and mobility. It is designed to be local-first: your fasts, workouts, meals, sleep entries, mobility sessions, and notes are created by you and stored on your device.
Rigor does not require an Atlas Peak Media account. There is no cloud account, and there is no server-side copy of your health data.
Data Rigor Handles
Fasting data: start and end times, fasting protocol, fasting zones reached, streaks, and history you create.
Training data: exercises, sets, reps, weights, RIR, machine notes, rest timers, personal records, and workout history.
Nutrition data: meals, custom foods, quick-add calories, macros, and supplement entries you log.
Sleep data: sleep duration, recovery score, subjective morning check-ins, and lifestyle factors. With your permission, Rigor reads sleep and related metrics from Apple HealthKit on your device.
Mobility data: stretch and mobility sessions, history, and weekly scores.
Subscription status: Apple StoreKit tells the app whether your Apple ID has an active Rigor Pro subscription or Lifetime purchase. Atlas Peak Media does not receive your payment card information.
HealthKit
Rigor uses Apple HealthKit to read health and fitness metrics such as sleep when you grant permission. HealthKit data is managed by Apple on your device and is used only to power in-app features like sleep analysis and the recovery score.
Rigor does not transmit HealthKit data off your device, and Rigor does not use HealthKit data for advertising or share it with third parties. You can review and revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in the iOS Health app.
Storage
Rigor stores your health and fitness data locally on your device. Atlas Peak Media does not browse, collect, or back up this data.
If a future version offers Apple iCloud sync, that data is managed by Apple under your Apple ID, and Atlas Peak Media does not access your private iCloud database.
Third-Party Services
Apple services: App Store, StoreKit, and HealthKit support purchases, subscriptions, and health metric access on your device.
Food search: Rigor includes a food reference database on your device. Searching it and logging a meal happen entirely on your device and send nothing anywhere.
Barcode scanning: when you scan a product barcode, Rigor sends the barcode number to Open Food Facts, and to the USDA FoodData Central database if Open Food Facts has no match, in order to look up that product. Only the barcode is sent. Your meals, your logs, and your identity are not. Results are cached on your device for about a day so repeat scans of the same product need no further requests. Both are third-party services with their own privacy practices.
What Rigor Does Not Do
Rigor does not sell your health, fitness, or nutrition data.
Rigor does not use your data for advertising, and Rigor contains no third-party ad networks.
Rigor does not transmit your HealthKit data, fasts, workouts, meals, sleep entries, or notes to Atlas Peak Media servers. Atlas Peak Media operates no server that receives your Rigor data. The only outbound requests Rigor makes are barcode lookups to the third-party food databases described above.
Rigor does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Deleting Data
You can delete individual entries inside the app. You can also delete all Rigor data by deleting the app from your device. Manage HealthKit permissions and data through the iOS Health app.
